Town Administrator has succesfully passed a 3 day Utility Management Certification course

The course consisted of two and a half days of intensive training on a nationally-recognized management program designed expressly for small water and wastewater system supervisory and management personnel. Project Scope: Work includes the construction of a new 8” Production Well with a minimum capacity of 150 gallons per minute, water quality testing, pump testing, well development, abandonment of an existing monitoring well, pump installation, raw water-main piping including jack-and-bore at River Road, water meter, controls, electrical, site restoration, etc. Project Description: The Town will install a new groundwater well and ancillaries along with a new raw waterline to meet Ten State Standards for sufficient raw water sources. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 10am this morning to 6am Wednesday. A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until 11am Wednesday. Snow accumulations in New Castle County are forecast to be 8 to 12 inches. 6 to 10 inches of snow are forecast for Kent and Sussex Counties. Snow will spread over the area toward mid-to-late morning, then continue through this evening. Travel will become hazardous due to snow covered roads and periods of very low visibility. Areas of blowing and drifting snow will develop especially this evening and tonight. The afternoon and evening rush hour will be significantly impacted.
