2014 Blades Kids Christmas Bazaar
On Sunday, December 7th, 2014, the Town of Blades held it’s annual “Kid’s Christmas Craft Bazaar”. Over 100 lucky children left with armfuls of toys and holiday crafts. There were games, lunch, and of course pictures with Santa. Coordinated with the help of his elves, these fun loving volunteers give up their day to help manufacture smiles. 2015 Little Miss, Junior Miss, and Miss Blades Crowned…
November 14th, 2014: Friday evening at Blades United Methodist Church, 2015 Little Miss, Junior Miss, and Miss Blades were crowned. We are very proud of all the young ladies that participated. We look forward to our Miss Blades winners representing Blades in various Christmas pageants and other anniversary activities planned leading up to our 100th Anniversary celebration the weekend of May 16th. Thank you to all our sponsors and businesses that donated to the goodie bags. Thank you to our judges and volunteers for your time!
2015 Little Miss-Junior Miss-Miss Blades Pageant
Age Groups:
Little Miss: 4yrs to 7yrs
Junior Miss: 8yrs to 12yrs
Miss: 13yrs to 17yrs (18 if still in High School)
Must live in the Blades Fire District (Proof with Driver’s License of Parent/Guardian and a utility bill)
Competition: Pretty Party Dress/Evening Gown, Talent, and Question & Answer Session
Registration Fee: $15
Each registered contestant receives 2 tickets to the pageant.
Registration ends on October 24th, 2014 (on October 24th we extended the registration to October 31st, 2014)
Tickets sold at the door:
$5 for Adults, Free for kids 12yrs and under

Railroad Bridge over the Nanticoke River
The Norfolk/Southern Railroad Bridge crossing over the Nanticoke River is now open. OPEN DAILY from 5am to 11pm. The bridge does need additional work and may have periodic closings and we will do our best to notify you when we find out!
