Blades Town Clean-Up

Saturday, April 10th from 7am to 1pm, the Town of Blades will have a town wide clean up at the Blades Park located at 100 E Seventh Street. Dumpsters for household waste and yard waste will be available. Must bring proof of residency and provide your own transportation to bring the trash/waste. Items that cannot be disposed of at this event: chemicals, paint, fuel powered equipment, large appliances, batteries, tires, chemical waste, combustible materials, bio-hazardous materials, and liquids.

Town of Blades Election

All citizens wishing to vote in the April 5, 2021 (2pm-6pm, 20 West Fourth Street, Blades, DE 19973) election must register at the Blades Town Hall by the close of business at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.  All citizens who shall have attained the age of eighteen (18) years on the date of the Annual Election and be a citizen of the United States of America for a period of one (1) year and a citizen of the Town of Blades for a period of six (6) months preceding the date of the Annual Municipal Election shall be eligible to register and hold one (1) vote.  All citizens who have not voted in the last two (2) contested elections held by the Town must re-register to vote by the above stated date. Blades Police and Blades Volunteer Fire Company NEED YOUR HELP!

Blades Police Department along with the Blades Volunteer Fire Company are having a fundraiser for a local community member who lost everything (including all their Christmas presents for their young son) in a house fire over the weekend. Please spread the word so that we may be able to help this family in this terrible situation. Financial donations (checks) can be placed in the drop box outside town hall and clothing donations and such outside the banquet hall doors at the firehouse. Please mark your donations “house fire” so that they can be quickly distributed to the family. Their son is 3 and wears a size 4. Please help Blades PD and BVFD help a family after this terrible tragedy. Every little bit will help. Thank You!
