Blades Fall Town Clean-Up

Yard waste and household waste roll-offs will be available at the park for town residents use only on Saturday, October 28th, 2017 from 7am to 1pm. Proof of residency is mandatory. TOWN OF BLADES ORDINANCE 434 RESTAURANTS: APPLICATION, PERMIT OF COMPLIANCE, AND ALCOHOL SALES RESTRICTIONS    ARTICLE I.  Restaurant application and permit of compliance Any person or entity with an existing restaurant or desires of opening a new restaurant must file with the Town Administrator an application for and, if approved, receive a permit of compliance for the operation of the restaurant business.  The application shall be on a form to be furnished by the Town and shall be accompanied by the requisite application fee, as such may be established by the Town Council from time to time. No Election in Blades for 2017

The Blades Election candidate filing deadline was Friday, March 3rd, 2017.  The Mayoral position and 2 Council seats were open.  We received candidate filing forms and the necessary election intention forms with campaign finance forms for 2 council seats and the mayoral seat.  As of Friday, March 3rd, 2017 at 4:30 pm this was all the town had received therefore the town will not need to hold elections this year.  Russell T Joseph and Lee Benningfield have both retained their council seats and David Ruff will be our new Mayor.  All will be sworn in on April 10th, 2017.  Councilman Ruff’s council seat will be open and council, by majority vote, can appoint a qualified person to fill the remainder of his seat till April 2018 election.
