Spraying for Mosquitos
Date Posted: Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013Weather permitting; the Mosquito Control Section is planning the following insecticide application between the hours of 5:00am and 8:00am on Thursday, July 4th, 2013 and 5:00am to 8:30pm Friday, July 5th, 2013. Application of Trumpet EC (Naled) with an airplane (registration numbers #N4001A and #N5552A) to control adult mosquitoes in the following areas:
In and near Marydel, Sandtown, Seaford, and Blades and near Georgetown, Harbeson, and Milton.
For the purpose of beekeeper notification, spraying will be done in spray block numbers: 87, 89, 151, 152, 153, 158, 159, 162, and 172.
All insecticides to be used are registered with the USEPA for mosquito control and will be applied according to USEPA approved label instructions. The USEPA has determined that the insecticides to be used do not pose unreasonable risks to human health, wildlife or the environment.
